FAMILY FUN at Pregones Theater is back with another run of extraordinary performances to enjoy with your entire family! This year we are again proud to present specially-priced school and family matinee performances by Teatro SEA, New York City's award-winning Latino children's theater. The featured production is La Cucarachita Martina/Martina, The Little Roach, adapted from the classic Caribbean tale and performed in Spanish and English.

While sweeping and by chance, Martina finds a penny and uses it to buy a tin of face powder. Her neighbors take notice, and soon enough she's flooded with suitors. Everyone wants to marry her! But this lady roach is mostly looking for friendship, kindness, and respect. Will she ever find the proverbial knight in shining armor? Puppets and live actors transform Martina's story into a Latino rock'n'roll musical for kids of all ages! A bilingual experience that is as cute and giddy as Martina herself, sure to have you laughing and singing with joy!
