Ayer y Hoy/Then & Now

by Bombazo Dance Company

featuring seniors from Casa Boricua

Inspired by the living histories and experiences of seniors from Casa Boricua Senior Center, Ayer y Hoy recounts memories of the Puerto Rican migration during the late 1940's through the late 50's incorporating the touch and flare of Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba.

Choreographed and directed by Milteri Tucker, the program features seniors from Casa Boricua performing alongside BOMBAZO Dance Company members Jillianna Rickrick, FAFA, Nocole Bryant, Fabian Zarta, Charles Otero, with live Bomba percussion by William Tucker.

ABOUT MILTERI TUCKER:

Milteri Tucker is a Puerto Rican native company member of Danza Fiesta. She has performed in the Macy's Day Parade, Puerto Rican Day Parade, SummerStage Central Park, and South Street Seaport's summer festival.
