FLY-BABIES PIOJOS is Pregones Theater's biting new musical comedy!

Written and directed by Rosalba Rolón, internationally known theatermaker and winner of the prestigious USA Artists Fellowship in Theater Arts, and with original music by acclaimed composer and pianist Desmar Guevara, FLY-BABIES/PIOJOS is Pregones' irreverent musical love letter to the common louse.

An inspired mash-up of fact and fiction, this play is everything you always wanted to know about LICE but were afraid to ask! Great historical figures and everyday people scratching away in hillarious unison — the good and the bad cornered by a common enemy, icky and deliriously democratic!

You will itch with the millenary tales of multi-lingual fly babies.

You will scratch discovering their uncanny taste for luscious hairdos and royal garments.

You will laugh while dispelling the notion that lice only happen to the poor, the irresponsible, the nappy haired and the underdeveloped across the world.

In Pregones' signature style, this new comedy will keep your feet tapping! Baroque music, rock, tango and cha-cha create a fitting musical atmosphere for the persecution, treatment and eventual survival of lice throughout the world and accross centuries.
