PREGONES HISTORY
Founded in 1979 as a touring company, Pregones has toured through 400+ cities and 11 countries. We enjoy citywide recognition for our lasting contributions to the arts field and are recipients of numerous distinctions including Primary Institution designation from the New York State Council on the Arts, the NYS Governor’s Arts Award, New York City Mayor and Bronx Borough President Recognitions, many artist and production awards, and requests to perform at international festivals and events.
